We brewed our Orange Cats 5% IPA yesterday, mostly American Mosaic hops, just a hint of Waimea for the start of boil addition, and a hint of Citra to balance and round off the dry hopping.
This will be available in Cask and Keykeg in a couple of weeks.
We have Tiller Pin 4.2% in tank which will go into cask on Monday. Teuton Lager 4% is also nearly ready to keg once the Keykeg delivery arrives.
Just a quick post to say its been quite a while since we had Bingley Brewery down at our place, it was 2022 in fact! It will be the usual opening times though guess we’ll stretch out shouting last orders a be little later 😉
Bingley will be bringing their bar and beers down to us ready for Saturday February 28th, they will be serving 5 or 6 Handpulled beers alongside our own 6 Handpulled and 4 keg beers.
Food will be from Loaf & Loaded.
Yes we know this clashes with Bradford Beer Festival but we figure there is enough diversity of customers that we’ll all make a good day of it.

We are excited to see our advert in the new CAMRA Tyke Taverner magazine, and we’ve just read the 12 Stouts of Christmas article, so what follows is the tweak we would have done to that peice.
We’ve quite a range right now!
We live a stones throw from some great breweries and the slightly wider area encompasses even more variety and choice of dark beers. We’ll do our best to give everyone a mention but do let us know if we’ve missed any gems. So, in no particular order….
Craven Brew Co – BAP Black Angus Porter 4.5% / VIP Victorian Imperial Porter 6.5%
So thats 15/16 brewers of fantastic Stouts and Porters, a range of dark beers that is properly amazing and very local. The list could be even bigger so we should give further mentions to Bini Brew Co, Amity Brew Co, Quirky Ales, Roosters Brewery, Kirkstall Brewery, Northern Monk, Pig Love, Horsforth Brewery, Meanwood Brewery, Anthology Brewery, Wilde Child Brewery, Settle Brewing Co, Unbound Brewery, Little Valley Brewery who all turn out some great dark beers brewed in and around our area. Did we forget anyone? Let us know who and which beers we should add, ideally current beers in stock and available in Cask or Keg.
Please Support Local
*We will note that finding cask and keg beer range on brewery websites and even social media isn’t always that compelling for pub customers with lots focusing on the retail market for Cans & Bottles first and formost and sometimes no mention of Cask or Keg beer.
Last week myself and Emma were having a week off, a lazy week and an odd night away in York, none of those fancy foreign holidays like the people with actual money have.
Rob and Paul were sorting your beer needs and we brewed our first Christmas Stout, Black Bauble is a 4.5% stout with German Carafa Special 3, Chocolate Malt, Wheat Malt, Rye Malt, Crystal 400, Maris Otter and Naked Oat Malt. hopped with British Challenger and First Gold hops with the addition of Black Treacle which comes though subtly so as not to overpower. Unfined and Vegan.
Pumpclips
We also put a lager brew in tank, this time it’s Teuton Lager 4%. Unfined and Vegan, this beer is hopped with German Tettnang hops.
Also releasing soon is our Wood Aged Black Imp 10% Imperial Stout aged in 3rd fill French Red Wine casks that previously held our Barley Wine and Old Ale, this brings more oak character to the beer and it’s tasting great.
