Brewing this week, Social Banter & Tiller Pin

This week sees us topping up stocks of Tiller Pin and brewing Social Banter 3.8% Session IPA.

Tiller & Social Banter

We are making a few subtle tweaks to Social Banter for this brew, if you like it let us know, and if you don’t like it also let us know and we’ll swap right back for the next time.

Tiller is in stock right now in Firkins, we’ll be filling Pins later next week.

Social Banter will be going into Firkins, Pins & Keykegs at the end of next week, kegs will be available a week later once they have naturally carbonated.

Order in your preferred way, let us know if you’d like your usual wholesaler to sell our beers and we’ll shoot them a stock list.

Cheers

Tiller went into cask last Friday and Everyday Carry casked yesterday

Missed my blog post last week, we casked Tiller Pin 4.2% on Friday and this Monday we put Everyday Carry 3.9% into Cask.

You know plenty about Tiller Pin so I won’t bore you with that, Everyday Carry 3.9% has Mosaic, Cascade and Blanc hops on it and tastes blummin’ lovely.

If you fancy one or both of these on your bar please do give us a shout in the usual ways. Both beers serve clear.

Cheers

Wrecking Ball Lager 4.8% brewing today

When we first got to use Crisp Malt’s Hànà malt we named the beer after the malt, so Hana when from Hannah Montana to Miley Cyrus to Wrecking Ball! It’s hopped with Herman Hallertau Blanc and fermented with a Kolsch style yeast.

This is a Keykeg only beer and will be packaged into 30 Litre Keykegs.

Our lagers go down really well at the Fox & Goose in Hebden bridge. So if you want somewhere to have a try give them a go or hit us up on one of our brewery bar days.

Order in all the usual ways once it’s ready, cheers

Everyday Carry 3.9% Brewing today

This beer flew out the last time we brewed it, Rob designed this recipe with Cascade & Hallertau Blanc hops then I suggested we add some Mosaic. It’s made for a lovely easy drinking Session Pale.

Everyday Carry Pumpclip

If you require bag in boxes please shout now so we can fill next week when this beer is ready. 10 & 20 Litre available to be filled.

Order in all the usual ways….

Cheers

A Decade in Business – Birthday Bar Day August 30th

At the end of August is our 10th Anniversary in business, it’s certainly not been an easy ride but we’re still here!
Food will be from Jimmy aka ‘Fries the limit’ with his excellent Caribbean food, we’ll have the usual 6x Handpulled beers and we’ll add on the 6-Tap mobile bar so there’s even more beers to choose from making 8x keg beers. We’ll be brewing a new beer for our Decade too which will be the planned evolution of our ‘Maga made me do it’ into a Gluten Free pale, tweaking lightly to 4% cos it tasted pretty damn good. And expect the first proper pours of our new Ginger beer.

For Trade, keep a close eye on our sales emails 😉

Ginger Beer 4.8% going into Keykeg and Pins

Today we are packaging our new Ginger Beer, we have used frozen diced ginger root in this 800 Litre brew to the tune of 60kg though annoyingly we lost some juice from the packs while defrosting in the coldstore. So 44kg was added to the copper along with some Lemon Zest and Celeia and Bobek hops.

FV being filled ready for kegging.

I need to crack on and get the Keg clip branding done and settle on what we’re going to call it, options so far are; Ginger Fringe, Thundaburg, You only Zing once/twice, Van Gogh, Grint, Weasley, Jasper, Red Head, Eric the Red or Stuart!

Cheers

Gaggle Lager going into Keg today

Our Gaggle Lager 4.6% is getting put in 30 litre Keykegs today, the recipe consists of Extra Pale Malt, Vienna. Herman Carahell and a hint of Acidulated malt, hopping from Lubelski and Bobek, fermented with Lallemand Saflager S-23.

Gaggle Lager

Originally brewed for The Fox & Goose in Hebden bridge, its natural habitat, but available to anyone that can serve Keykegs. This has a fruitier character with some herbal hints, with a lovely amber tint to the colour.

Order in all the usual ways, or just grab a pint in the Fox & Goose, cheers

You lot did well supping at Beat Herder

Thanks to everyone that drank our beer at the Beat Herder Festival, it’s a massive commitment for our little business, so it’s great that so much of our beer was enjoyed at the festival.

Massive thanks to all the Beat Herder Team for having us again this year, hope to be doing the same if they’ll have us back again.

Also massive thanks to my old mate Karl for putting in one hell of a slog keeping the bars running, it’s massively appreciated.
